76 Years Later…Never Forget

Today marks the 76th anniversary of the liberation. January 27, 1945 the Russian Army arrives at Auschwitz, the Nazi detention camp where the German’s murdered more than a million Jews.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, and today’s commemoration was held virtually because of the pandemic.

The Germans established the Auschwitz camp complex in the spring of 1940 in German-occupied Poland.

By the time Soviet troops liberated the remaining prisoners in Auschwitz on January 27, 1945, approximately 1.1 million people had been murdered there. #HolocaustRemembranceDay
