Chris Krebs, the ousted director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is looking into legal action against one of Donald Trump’s campaign attorneys. This comes after Joe diGenova said Krebs should be executed for saying this year’s election was the “most secure in United States history.” The Bulwark explains:

DiGenova, appearing on the Howie Carr show, which simulcasts on Newsmax, took aim at Krebs as an aside during a wheels-off segment full of false claims about how the United States election had been rigged.

“Anybody who thinks that this election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity [for Trump]. That guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot,” diGenova said.

Today on NBC, Krebs reacted saying:

“It’s certainly more dangerous language, more dangerous behavior. And the way I look at it is that we’re a nation of laws, and I plan to take advantage of those laws. I’ve got an exceptional team of lawyers that win in court, and I think they’re probably going to be busy.”

In addition to any legal action against diGenova, there are also questions about whether the American Bar Association will take action against him as well.
