Donald Trump has named Robert C. O’Brien to become his 4th National Security Adviser. O’Brien, a special presidential envoy for hostage affairs, become known this summer for helping advocate for A$AP Rocky’s release in Sweden. The New York Times wrote:

O’Brien has praised Trump for having “unparalleled success” in bringing home hostages, though his appearance in Stockholm in July to monitor the trial of U.S. rapper drew guffaws as critics assailed Trump for what they viewed as an inappropriate intervention in an allied nation’s legal matters.

This comes just a little more than a week after John Bolton was fired (or resigned) from the job.
