Fox News and Donald Trump have both changed their tune on coronavirus over the last week. It seems the switch goes hand and hand since Trump is often said to shift on issues based on what he sees on the conservative cable channel. Many of the network’s hosts were downplaying coronavirus in February and earlier in March. The network shift seems to have come after Trish Regan dubbed the crisis the “Coronavirus Impeachment Scam.” The Fox Business personality was sidelined after that and the Washington Post reports, “Fox insiders said Regan is unlikely to return. Fox insiders said that Regan’s removal from air showed that only some hosts — those with the biggest ratings — are protected at Fox News.”

But even those with bigger ratings are now taking coronavirus seriously. Some may want to sweep under the rug what they said in the past, but video doesn’t lie. The Washington Post has a compilation on how Fox hosts are now contradicting their past views.

And then there’s Lou Dobbs. The former CNN newsreader is relegated to the lightly-watched Fox Business Channel these days, where his only business is promoting a president. This is an actual poll he aired yesterday.
