Lindsey Graham is in a tough race to retain his senate seat. It will be interesting to see what will happen after today.

Back in 2016, Graham went on the record saying, “I want you to use your words against me. If there’s a Republican President in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said, ‘let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make the nomination.’”

Graham and Mitch McConnell managed to quash the nomination of Merick Garland.

But four years later, and with an election only weeks away, Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has decided to reverse himself. He now says he supports filling the seat now, and not wait for the next president. Graham will support Donald Trump “in any effort to move forward regarding the recent vacancy created by the passing of Justice Ginsburg.”

Now Graham is blaming his change of heart on Democrats.

The latest polling from South Carolina shows Graham in a tie with challenger Jaime Harrison.
