LA Times: L.A. schools lost $15 million on Day 1; now comes Day 2 of the teachers’ strike
As the LAUSD strike enters Day 2, no negotiations with the Los Angeles Unified School District are planned. People wonder when the strike will end. Meanwhile, the district says it lost $15 million the first day.
Hundreds of thousands of students are staying home as teachers hit the picket lines. The Los Angeles Times says the union is fighting for “better wages, smaller class sizes and more support staff at schools.”
