Michael Caputo, a spokesman for the Department of Health and Human Services, is taking a break from his job. This comes just days after he spouted conspiracy theories on social media and said reporters should be gassed. He also suggested his own “mental health has definitely failed.”
HHS is also announcing that Paul Alexander, an aide to Caputo, is “leaving the department.”
Caputo will be on leave for 60 days.
