Forget about January and February, winter is going out with a bang this March. Some areas in the Northeast have already gotten as much as three feet of snow this week and it’s not over yet.

According to the biggest snow totals so far from winter storm Quinn are:

Woodford, VT – 36 inches

Warren, CT – 28 inches

Montville, NJ – 26.8 inches

Sloatsburg, NY – 26 inches

More than a million people are without power and hundreds of schools are still closed today. Many News & Guts readers reached out to us to send pictures and details from their towns. Here are some:

Naveen Alexandra sent us this photo from Danbury, CT where 16 inches fell.

Barbara Kersten is in Worcester NY  where she says, “emergencies are declared all around to keep people off the roads.” And snow is forecast almost every day of this coming week so things aren’t expected to improve much.

What’s the best way to get around when a foot of snow falls in your area? Cross country skies of course. Mike Kaliss sent us this picture of cross-country ski tracks from North Wales, PA.
