The “kind-of-interested-in-running” presidential campaign of former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg has not blown away the voting public. The moderate Democrat announced last week that he would be filing paperwork for the Alabama Democratic primary.

The first poll with Bloomberg in the race by Morning Consult shows him in sixth place with four percent of the vote, which is not terrible for one week. Here’s the bad news. He has the lowest favorables in the field, and his entrance had zero impact on the frontrunner, Joe Biden.

When he filed last Tuesday, his spokesperson said Bloomberg is “increasingly concerned that the current field of candidates is not well positioned” to win next November.

The poll also found that like Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, Bloomberg would win a hypothetical race against President Trump.
