Monday will mark the one year anniversary of the shooting at an El Paso, Texas Walmart which left 22 people dead.

A memorial called the “Grand Candela” was built in the parking lot of the store to honor the victims.

The El Paso Times writes the 30-foot candle is surrounded by 22 performances aluminum arcs – one for each victim. The memorial was unveiled last November.

In April, a 23rd victim died. Memo Garcia spent months in the hospital after being shot in the parking lot.

The suspect in the shooting remains jailed awaiting trial on state and federal charges.
