Donald Trump isn’t one to throw in the towel. He has a more of a go-down-with-the-ship mentality, which not coincidentally, seems like the attitude of the GOP leadership on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Everyone on the Republican side is apparently all in with Brett Kavanaugh no matter how many allegations pile up. Not only that, in the bombshell report from the New Yorker Sunday night, Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow wrote that Senior Republican staffers learned of the new allegations last week and “…Soon after, Senate Republicans issued renewed calls to accelerate the timing of a committee vote.”
But this latest allegation needs to be reviewed carefully. Unlike Christine Blasey Ford’s story (which is credible in its own right), Deborah Ramirez’s story is backed up by others.
“This is a fairly high level of evidence for this kind of a case …This exceeds the evidentiary basis we’ve used in the past in several cases that were found to be very credible,” says @RonanFarrow of his reporting on the new allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. pic.twitter.com/Pl2hBOYaoL

Starr-era Brett Kavanaugh would have opened an FBI investigation into the Ford and Ramirez allegations against this Brett Kavanaugh — if this Brett Kavanaugh was a Democrat.

Trump doesn’t accept the evidence, instead this morning he doubled down saying “for people to come out of the woodwork from 36 years ago and 30 years ago… in my opinion, it’s totally political.”He is still questioning why women don’t come forward, guess he missed the #WhyIDidntReport movement that grew out of his tweet Friday.
"Judge Kavanaugh is an outstanding person and I am with him all the way," President Trump says after second woman alleges sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh. https://t.co/vw7X5vA1cK pic.twitter.com/JHvo9fE6zP

Today Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the President was on CBS also defending Trump’s decision to support Kavanaugh’s denial over the words of his accuser (now accusers) saying, “this is starting to feel like a vast left-wing conspiracy.”

Senator Lindsey Graham echoes Conway saying;
“What we are witnessing is the total collapse of the traditional confirmation process for a Supreme Court nominee. It is being replaced by a game of delay, deception, and wholesale character assassination.”
Top GOP officials can ignore these new allegations, but that won’t end the call for an FBI investigation. Michael Avenatti (where’d he come from?) says he also has “credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh” from a third accuser and:
We are calling on the Committee and Senator Grassley to immediately request that Mark Judge testify under oath about the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. They should not be hiding witnesses. The Committee works for the American people and this is a search for the truth.
Warning: My client re Kavanaugh has previously done work within the State Dept, U.S. Mint, & DOJ. She has been granted multiple security clearances in the past including Public Trust & Secret. The GOP and others better be very careful in trying to suggest that she is not credible

.@ChuckGrassley, these mounting allegations are too serious to ignore. We must know the facts before moving forward. It’s past time to request an FBI investigation, just as we’ve always done when new derogatory info is uncovered about a nominee.
