Kyle Kashuv became a Conservative icon of sorts in the last year and a half. He was a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School when 17 people were murdered back in February 2018. After the massacre, he became one of the only (if not the only student) to fight for the 2nd Amendment. But now many members of the Conservative community are rallying behind him for another reason. This comes after Kashuv revealed that Harvard “decided to rescind my admission over texts and comments made nearly two years ago, months prior to the shooting.”

The comments included multiple uses of the n-word and the statement “kill the f**king Jews.”

Kashuv has both apologized and been on the defensive. He said that he “responded to the letter with a full explanation, apology.” But he also remarked that the two-year-old comments were made “privately years ago – when I was 16 years old… in an attempt to be as extreme and shocking as possible.”

But hearing what happened is one thing. Seeing what he said in writing is another.

The ladies of The View debated whether Harvard should have pulled his admittance and, while conflicted, they all agreed it was the right move.
