Today could be the day that Joe Biden passes 270 electoral votes, the magic number that would win the election. Here’s the latest on the states in play.

Georgia: Donald Trump still leads early Thursday morning with thousands more votes to be counted. Those votes come from predominantly democratic-leaning areas. State officials will update the count at 10:30am et.

In Pennsylvania, Donald Trump maintains a lead over Joe Biden but that lead is shrinking. Much of the remaining count comes from mail-in votes in the Philadelphia area which is heavily Democratic. This state could flip to Biden later today. If that happens, Biden would have enough electoral votes to win regardless of what happens in other states.

In Arizona, the race is tightening with Joe Biden’s lead over Donald Trump down to less than 70,000 votes. The majority of the votes that remain to be counted here come from Democratic-leaning Maricopa County, the Phoenix metro area. The Associated Press has already called the race for Joe Biden. Overnight, Trump supporters protested the vote count in Phoenix.

In Nevada, Joe Biden holds a slim lead of less than 8000 votes. More numbers are expected by noon eastern on Thursday.
