There aren’t many days where Donald Trump doesn’t break Presidential protocol in some way. Today he overstepped his bounds when talking about rising interest rates.  “I’m not thrilled,” he told CNBC.    Politico reports:

“President Donald Trump broke a traditional taboo Thursday by openly criticizing the Federal Reserve for its campaign of gradual interest rate hikes, arguing that the central bank could counteract the positive effects of his economic policies.”

The Wall Street Journal adds:

“His comments depart from a convention in which presidents have refrained from speaking specifically on monetary policy.”
