Former President Barack Obama interviewed Senator Kamala Harris today about what keeps her grounded during this run for Vice President. This is the first time the two have appeared together since Harris was brought on as Joe Biden’s running mate. The two talked about Harris’ workout routine, her music preferences, and talks with her family. Mostly though, they talked about their mutual respect for Biden with Obama remarking:

“The main thing to know about Joe is that Joe has never lost his sense of why we do this, and we do it because of you know for him, memories of his family back in Scranton and then the people of Delaware that he represented, the folks on the Amtrak train he met each and every day…His focus is going to be how’s that going to help those people who sent him there.”
