Several correspondents who have relied on Sarah Sanders for information aren’t exactly sad to see her go. Many have made that clear since she announced plans to leave her post as White House Press Secretary. Washington Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan wrote:

When Sarah Sanders said Thursday that she hopes to be remembered for her transparency and honesty, the first impulse was to laugh. But lying to citizens while being paid by them really isn’t all that funny.” “She would claim to represent the truth on behalf of a president who lies. She did it disrespectfully, and apparently without shame or an understanding of what the role of White House press secretary should be. She misled reporters or tried to, and through them, misled the American people.”

Journalist Soledad O’Brien directed this comment at Sanders, “You were a terrible person and a liar. That is your legacy and it’s one you deserve.”

Brian Karem, a reporter who often challenged Sanders in the briefing room, said Sanders legacy will be “one of sowing distrust, one of divisiveness.. a complete breakdown of what has been a vital role of a press secretary in the presidential administration and also a very vital relationship with the public and the administration.”

American Urban Radio’s April Ryan has been one of Sanders biggest foes. She said:

“She should have done the right thing a long time ago… The reason why I say that is because she suffers from ‘lie-abetes.’ And her tenure has been fraught with sex, lies and videotape.”

Late night comic Jimmy Kimmel also weighed in, paying tribute to all of what he called the “Hucka-bs she gave us.” Take a look at what he said above (about 3:15 in).
