Nancy Pelosi has skirted around whether to impeach the president, but she is making it clear she thinks the country can’t withstand more than four years of Donald Trump. Sunday on 60 Minutes the Speaker of the House told Lesley Stahl:

“I think our future is strong enough, built on a strong foundation to withstand everything including the current occupant of the White House. I don’t think for two-terms though.”

The interview was the most we’ve seen Pelosi criticize Trump in one sitting. She even managed to throw shade about his unreleased tax returns:

“I was going to a Martin Luther King breakfast in San Francisco, and one of the waiters there said to me, ‘Madam Speaker, when the president says the Mueller report’s going on too long, just tell him, ‘not as long as your audit’.”

And when asked to describe Trump, Pelosi replied:

“I think that he describes himself on a daily basis. I think that there’s nobody in the country who knows better that he should not be President of the United States than Donald Trump.”

These things clearly got under Trump’s skin. We know because soon after the interview aired he fired off this tweet.

The Washington Post pulled out five key moments from the interview (watch above). And if you have 14 minutes watch the full interview here.
