For the first time, Joe Biden has publicly called for President Trump’s impeachment. The Democratic front-runner made these remarks in a speech in Rochester, New Hampshire to a big round of applauce. He said that Trump was “shooting holes in the Constitution And we cannot let him get away with it.” Here’s part of his speech:

“President Trump has indicted himself by obstructing justice, refusing to comply with the congressional inquiry. He’s already convicted himself. In full view of the world and the American people, Donald Trump has violated his oath of office, betrayed this nation and committed impeachable acts… To preserve our Constitution, our democracy, our basic integrity he should be impeached.”

Trump reacted almost immediately, tweeting that he “did nothing wrong.”

With his new aggressiveness, Biden appears to acknowledge that he needs to step up his attacks on the president to combat his dip in Democratic voter polls.
