One of the few polling issues where Donald Trump is competitive with Joe Biden is on the economy. So the former Vice President went to Pennsylvania today to lay out his plan for turning the country around. He calls it the “jobs and economic recovery plan for working families.” Biden’s campaign says he “has a plan to create millions of good-paying jobs and to give America’s working families the tools, choices, and freedom they need to build back better.”
Biden points out economic recovery “starts with a real strategy to deal with the pandemic. We can’t solve the jobs crisis until we solve the public health crisis.”
“The truth is throughout this crisis, Donald Trump has been almost singularly focused on the Dow, NASDAQ, not you,. not your families.”
“Time and again working families are paying the price for this administration’s incompetence… Big businesses, the wealthy, Trump’s cronies and pals, they’ve been the big winners…”

AXIOS points out that “Biden outperforms President Trump on every issue except for the economy, according to a Pew Research poll of 4,000 adults last month.”
It looks like Biden will try to raise his numbers on the economy by promoting “higher wages, stronger benefits, and fair and safe workplaces.”
