Jon Stewart testified before Congress last week and poured his heart out as he told Representatives why they should vote to extend the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund past 2020. While his passionate speech touched practically anyone with a heart, there was one person who didn’t seem impacted, Mitch McConnell. Instead, the Senate Majority Leader appeared on Fox & Friends Monday saying, “I don’t know why he’s all bent out of shape…. it sounds to me like he’s looking for some way to take offense” Stewart made a surprise appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to respond to McConnell’s remarks saying:

“I’m not bent out of shape, I’m fine. I’m bent out of shape for them. These are the first heroes and veterans and victims of the great trillions of dollars war on terror and they are currently still suffering and dying and in need…  You would think that would be enough for Congress to pay attention, but apparently, it’s not.”
