Late night TV was Mueller madness, and there was obviously plenty of new material.

Seth Meyers said, Republicans have been chiding everyone else for thinking Mueller’s appointment would be the end of Trump’s presidency. They’ve been mocking people for saying, ‘Oh my god, this is the end of his presidency. he’s [ bleep ].’ But apparently, one of the people who thought that was Donald Trump himself, because according to the report, when his then-attorney Jeff Sessions told the president that a special counsel had been appointed, the president slumped back in his chair and said, ‘oh, my god, this is terrible. this the end of my presidency. I‘m [ bleep ].’ Oh, the one time we wanted you to be right and you weren’t.”

The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon said, rather than saying whether or not Trump obstructed justice, Mueller’s leaving it up to Congress to decide. that’s a relief  ’cause if there’s one group good at agreeing on things, it’s Congress.”  And he parodied all the redactions in the report.

As for Stephen Colbert, he especially took note of the commentators who said Attorney General William Barr sounded like Trump’s personal attorney remarking, that’s not fair. if Bill Barr were the president’s attorney, he’d be in prison right now.” Watch what else he said above.
