Paging the Consoler-in-Chief.  Parkland shooting survivor Samantha Fuentes tells CNN while she was in the hospital recovering, she received what she describes as an awkward call from the President. Fuentes says he didn’t console her, instead he left her with hurt feelings.

One would think a logical way to begin a call like this would be to ask how she is feeling. Instead, she says Donald Trump began by saying he heard Fuentes was a huge fan of his (note: she’s not). From there the call got even odder. Fuentes says she thought it was strange that instead of showing empathy, Trump mentioned the shooter was a sick puppy and said “oh boy” several times. Listen to what else she said about the call above.
