Saturday Night Live gave a sarcastic, yet serious spin to the hate that Asian-Americans are enduring. Cast member Bowen Yang joined Colin Jost on Weekend Update to talk about the murders at Georgia spas and all the other hate the community has been facing during the pandemic and beyond. Jost purposely introduced Yang as SNL’s “Asian American cast member.”
The hiring of Bowen Yang at SNL was a big deal for a lot of people and last night it became a big deal for everyone.https://t.co/TaggHi5BeG

While Yang managed to work some humor into his segment, the underlying message was “Fuel up, do more.”
“Things for Asians in this country have been bleak for the past two weeks — and all the weeks before that since forever,”
