Social security has been a major topic of conversation for both Democrats vying to be president and Donald Trump himself this week. Bernie Sanders attacked Biden today on the issue and the former Vice President clapped back.
Get real, Bernie. The only person who's going to cut Social Security if he's elected is Donald Trump. Maybe you should spend your time attacking him. https://t.co/7rwvXWmUWG

Indeed Trump hinted at cutbacks during a Fox News town hall with Martha MacCallum Thursday night, during this exchange:
“[I]f you don’t cut something in entitlements, you will never really deal with the debt,” MacCallum told Trump.
“Oh, we’ll be cutting,” the president replied.
At a softball Fox News townhall tonight Trump let slip that he plans to cut Social Security and Medicare.
We’ve known it all along, but now he’s said it out loud.
Every American needs to know that a vote for him is a vote to strip these vital programs.pic.twitter.com/KVDHEvrWXG

He later tried to walk the comments back.
Here's Kellyanne Conway on Fox News insisting that Trump didn't actually say what he said last night about cutting entitlements (she does this even after Fox News plays the clip back!) pic.twitter.com/vwAFeFCwzR
