The trailer is out for the Showtime series “The Comey Rule” (watch above). The network writes that “Jeff Daniels and Brendan Gleeson star as former FBI Director James Comey and President Donald J. Trump in this two-part event series that tells the story of two powerful men, whose strikingly different ethics and loyalties put them on a collision course.” The movie is based on Comey’s book, A Higher Loyalty. The Hollywood Reporter writes:

The star-studded cast for the limited series, some of whom are seen in the trailer, includes Holly Hunter as former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, Michael Kelly as former FBI director Andrew McCabe, Jennifer Ehle as Patrice Comey, Scott McNairy as former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Steven Pasquale as former FBI agent Peter Strzok.

The two-part, four-hour series, based on Comey’s memoir A Higher Loyalty will premiere on consecutive nights: Sunday, Sept. 27 and Monday Sept. 28 at 9 p.m.
