Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson hasn’t said much since leaving Washington.  But yesterday he revealed plenty that won’t thrill his old boss, Donald Trump, not that Rex probably cares.  In an interview with CBS’s Bob Schieffer, Tillerson, who was fired in March said this of Trump:

“A man who is pretty undisciplined, doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports, doesn’t like to get into the details of a lot of things, but rather just kind of says this is what I believe and you can try to convince me otherwise but most of the time you aren’t going to do that.”

Here’s what Tillerson said about why he was fired.

“We did not have a common value system. The president would say this is what I want to do and here’s how I want to do it and I’d have to say to him I understand what you want to do but you can’t do it that way. It violates the law, it violates treaty. He got really frustrated.”

“I think he grew tired of me being the guy every day who told him he can’t do that.”
