Tom Brady is known more for his Super Bowl wins than he is for his sense of humor.

But the future Hall of Famer cracked a few sharp jokes during an appearance Tuesday at the White House honoring the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady alluded to the election denial some Trump supporters feel about Joe Biden’s 2020 victory.

Brady was discussing the Bucs’ struggles late in the season when their record was just 7-5.

“Not a lot of people think that we could have won. In fact, I think about 40% of people still don’t think we won. You understand that, Mr. President?” Brady said, as his teammates laughed.

Biden’s response? “I understand that.”

Brady’s standup routine also referenced the infamous moment last season during a game in Chicago when the quarterback forgot what down it was, a play that led to a Bucs loss. Once again, the President played the straight man to “Sleepy Tom.”

Watch:

Last season’s Super Bowl win was the seventh title in Brady’s storied career, with the first six coming as a New England Patriot. He made several visits to the White House then, but he skipped his last scheduled visit in 2017.  That was likely because Brady wanted to avoid questions about then-president Trump. He had been criticized after a red MAGA cap was seen in his Patriots locker room after a game, and Trump has been vocal about calling Brady “a friend.”

Which begs to wonder, what does the former president thinks about his “friend” joking around with the man he lost the White House to?
