Tensions boiled over in a Michigan courtroom today as the sentencing for former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar continues. Randall Margraves, a father of three girls who were all sexually abused by Nassar, asked if he could have five minutes “in a locked room with this demon.” When the judge said no, Margraves lunged toward Nassar and was tackled and handcuffed by bailiffs. After Margraves and Nassar were led out of the courtroom, Michigan Assistant Attorney General Angela Povilaitis tried to quell the anger at the disgraced doctor, who faces up to 175 years in prison. “You cannot behave like this, this is letting him have this power over us,” she said.

Court proceedings resumed a short time later.
