A fearless Marine Corps veteran thwarted an attempted armed robbery of a gas station in Yuma, Arizona on Wednesday (watch above).

The unidentified vet was turning away from the counter when three masked-men began to enter the store. One of the would-be robbers was brandishing a handgun. The vet – himself unarmed – quickly tackled the man and recovered his weapon.

“The Marine Corps taught me not to [mess] around,” the vet explained to police.

The armed suspect, a teenager, is being held at Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center on armed robbery and aggravated assault charges. His two associates are still at-large.
