Donald Trump has said numerous times that masks just aren’t for him. So now there is plenty of speculation over what’s behind his post today declaring, “many people say that it is Patriotic to wear a face mask when you can’t socially distance. There is nobody more Patriotic than me, your favorite President!”
Was the president urged to do this? Did he suddenly realize he was losing his war against masks? Were recent poll numbers a wake-up call?
We may not know what caused this sudden turnaround, but we can say that not many people are buying it.
