Jen Psaki Conducts Her Last Press Briefing As She Departs White House

Welcome

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki appeared at her last briefing on Friday before departing the White House for MSNBC.

From watching them over the years we can’t imagine a more thankless job, regardless of administration. Psaki has generally been praised for her efforts, although that could be because at least she made an appearance.

In her 16 months on the job, she’s held more press briefings (224) than all the Trump press secretaries combined.

She also tolerated the GOP talking points of the day as relayed through the Fox News “reporter” Peter Doocy.

But in the end, she was gracious, even to him.

On Monday, Karin Jean-Pierre will take over the job.
