When Bernie Sanders called a press conference Wednesday afternoon, our first thought was he’s dropping out of the race. He’s not.

Sanders is staying in, especially for the opportunity to debate Joe Biden Sunday night in Arizona.

But watching Sanders and reading between the lines, there is a message for Joe Biden. And that message is something like, I have millions of followers and if you, Joe Biden, need to engage them. You need to listen to my ideas and their concerns.

Next Tuesday more primaries on on the calendar, and odds are Biden will extend his lead over Sanders. The Sanders campaign knows that. Bernie wants his ideas to be heard and his followers want to hear if Biden is at all welcoming to the progressive agenda.
