Bipartisanship Be Damned; Trump Resumes Twitter Attacks

Welcome

U.S. President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump leave the White House February 5, 2018 in Washington, DC. The Trumps are traveling to Cincinnati, Ohio.

It was just last week when Donald Trump spoke these words in his first State of the Union address:

“I call upon all of us to set aside our differences, to seek out common ground, and to summon the unity we need to deliver for the people we were elected to serve.”

That was then.  This morning Trump was back to his old self, sending childish and demeaning tweets across the aisle.

It’s amazing how many things Trump covered in just 272 characters. First, he remains obsessed with size.  Big really matters to Trump.   Secondly, the President also accused Schiff (and James Comey, Sen. Mark Warner, John Brennan and James Clapper) of a crime. Of course, there is no question what is truly behind this attack and no question about what Trump really wants “stopped”, as the New York Times reports:

“The president’s insult came as Mr. Schiff is expected to call for a vote on Monday afternoon for the Intelligence Committee to release a Democratic rebuttal to the classified memo that the panel’s Republicans released on Friday”

Here was Schiff’s response.
