When you wait in line at polling places, you have to pack your patience, but you may not have packed a lunch. Now, there are some charity groups monitoring busy locations, feeding those who are braving the long lines.

José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen is one of the groups helping out saying, “We also know that while long lines are an inconvenience for some, for many they can mean the difference between voting and not voting.

Now the organization is serving meals all over the country to early voters.

And Pizza to the Polls is sending pizza to polling locations, along with food trucks as well. The group even has a place you can go online to report a location with a long line.

In both cases, this isn’t only helping support voters, it’s also a way to support small food businesses. Pizza to the Polls writes “We love to support local businesses in each city!”

Celebrities are getting involved as well.

Lady Gaga also brought attention to Feed The Polls. It’s a partnership between The Infatuation, Zagat, and The Migrant Kitchen. The group says their mission is to offer free, healthy meals to people waiting. The Migrant Kitchen wrote, “Food insecurity should never prevent someone from voting. Help us reach our goal of serving 50,000 meals on election day.”
