A dog is inexplicably placed in an overhead bin on a United Airlines flight. Tragically, the dog dies during the flight. United admits responsibility. Americans are outraged that something like this could happen.
Days later, a bill is introduced in Congress to forbid airlines from allowing pets into overhead bins.
I will be filing a bill tomorrow that will prohibit airlines from putting animals in overhead bins. Violators will face significant fines. Pets are family.

Congress can move swiftly if it wants to. Unless it’s about guns, assault rifles, minimum age requirements, bump stocks, background checks…..
