It’s come to this. At least two Democratic Congressmen plan to ask their colleagues to censure Donald Trump. A censure is an official reprimand given to a President. This comes following news that Trump described several countries as “shitholes.”

The statement reads in part, “The President’s bigoted fearmongering is not acceptable.” Congressmen Jerry Nadler and Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Cedric Richmond also say, “his remarks completely warrant total condemnation.”

More Democrats have thrown around the word censure today so this should get support from that side of the aisle, as for the GOP side, we know several Republicans have expressed concern over Trump’s comments. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan called the remarks “very unfortunate, unhelpful.” No word yet from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
