With just 7 days left in office, Donald Trump is receiving the lowest approval ratings of his presidency. A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows Trump’s approval at 34% while 63% disapprove. Politico points out:

That matches other polls conducted over the past week showing Trump’s approval rating sliding roughly 10 points following the Capitol riots — which Democrats and some Republicans say Trump incited with his false and bellicose rhetoric about the 2020 presidential election.

A Quinnipiac poll out earlier this week showed just 33% approved of the outgoing president. The Washington Post points out that a poll released Friday by Marist University and PBS NewsHour showed “the biggest drop was among Republicans, with his approval within his own party sinking 13 points, from 90 percent to 77 percent. (This is largely because he didn’t have much room to fall with Democrats.)”
