In Rebuke To Trump, FEC Commissioner Makes It Clear; Accepting Foreign Intel On Campaign Opponent Is Illegal

This took some guts. The Chairwoman of the Federal Election Commission issued a strong rebuke to Donald Trump’s remarks that he would listen if a foreign government offered up dirt on an opponent. Ellen Weintraub said:

“It is illegal for any person to solicit, accept, or receive anything of value from a foreign national in connection with a U.S. election.”

Weintraub is a Democrat.
