Many will say this is too little, too late, but today Former Attorney General William Barr is condemning Donald Trump for his role in Wednesday’s siege of the Capitol. Barr released a statement saying:

“Orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable… The President’s conduct yesterday was a betrayal of his office and supporters.”

The AP points out “Barr was one of Trump’s most loyal and ardent defenders in the Cabinet… Barr resigned last month amid lingering tension over the president’s baseless claims of election fraud and the investigation into Biden’s son.”
