Judge Orders Roger Stone To Stop Talking About His Case Or Be Detained

Welcome

A federal judge has slapped a full gag order on longtime Donald Trump friend and adviser Roger Stone.

Stone was called to court after putting up a post on Instagram Monday that featured crosshairs next to a photo of Judge Amy Berman Jackson. In the caption, he wrote: “Through legal Deep State hitman Robert Mueller has guaranteed that my upcoming show trial is before Judge Amy Berman an Obama appointed Judge who dismissed the Benghazi charges again Hillary Clinton and incarcerated Paul Manafort…”

Stone later deleted the post saying it was “misinterpreted.” He also wrote an apology to the judge. But the judge ordered him to court to reevaluate the status of his gag order and conditions of bail.

ABC News writes:

At Thursday’s hearing, Stone, who has apologized both publicly and in court documents, sought to take responsibility for the content of the post but maintained he did not select the image.

“I am kicking myself over my own stupidity, though not more than my wife was kicking me. I offer no excuse for it, no justification,” Stone said. “This is just a stupid lack of judgment.”

But Jackson continued questioning Stone about his decision to post the image, questioning why he could not have selected an image without crosshairs.

“It is your Instagram. So, it’s fair to say you are 100 percent responsible for what gets posted on it and not anybody else,” she said. “Do you know how to do a Google search? And do the volunteers who work for you know how to do a Google search? How hard was it for you to select a photo that did not have a crosshairs in the corner?”

all this hasn’t caused Stone away from social media. Just this morning he posted: “Help me in my epic fight against the anti-@realdonldTrump Deep State.” Most of his posts are accompanied with a request to donate to his defense fund. Those types of posts will have to end now.
