ABC: West Virginia leaders reach deal to end teachers strike

The teacher strike in West Virginia may finally be coming to an end. News and Guts reader Jen Osha-Buysse is a teacher at the Morgantown Learning Academy in WV. She tells us:

“During the strike, my students stated that they learned that ‘if you work together, you can make a big difference in the world’ and ‘if you want to make your voice heard, you have to do something about it.’ We are very proud of our public school teachers for standing up for themselves, for their students, and for all of the public employees and hope that this labor movement is the beginning of real change in our state.”
