Mayor De Blasio Announces Vaccine Mandate For All NYC Public Schools Staff
All NYC workers in public schools — including custodians, cafeteria workers and outside contractors — will have until Sept. 27 to show proof of receiving at least one dose of the vaccine.
No opt-outs, no weekly testing. If you work at a public school in New York City, you will need to be vaccinated or risk losing your job.
The vaccine mandate comes as Mayor de Blasio wants to position the city’s school system — the biggest in the nation — at the front of the city’s pandemic recovery strategy.
