The NY Times spotlights a memo by former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe detailing a meeting he had with Rod Rosenstein where the deputy attorney general talked about Donald Trump’s reasons for firing James Comey. The report says:
“…in the meeting at the Justice Department, Mr. Rosenstein added a new detail: He said the president had originally asked him to reference Russia in his memo, the people familiar with the conversation said.”
