Stories like this are why investigative journalism is so important. The Trump administration brushed aside this death simply reporting this teen was found unresponsive. It turns out there is much more to the story, and perhaps Vasquez could have been saved if officers followed proper procedures and recommendations.
His name was Carlos Gregorio Hernandez Vasquez.
