Mystery surrounds the firing of House chaplain Rev. Pat Conroy. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is keeping mum as to why he wanted Conroy out. Some say it may something to do with a prayer Conroy read before the vote on tax cuts back in November that said in part, “May their efforts these days guarantee that there are not winners and losers under new tax laws, but benefits balanced and shared by all Americans.”
