Vox: Democrats Celebrate Special Election Upset in Missouri

Another sign that Democrats are motivated to get to the polls in special elections this year: In Missouri, four state legislative special elections in conservative districts were held yesterday and, in an exurban St. Louis district, Democrat Mike Revis, 27, won an upset victory. Though Republicans carried the other three races, their margins of victory were much narrower than past results–suggesting that Trump’s unpopularity is shifting the political landscape even in reliably red districts around the country.
