As Republicans boast on lowering taxes and attempting to create a more fiscally responsible America, the United States has had the most expensive year for natural disasters on record, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. $306 billion to be exact. Climate change is hitting our bottom line, hard, and scientists say that if nothing is done to slow it, this cost may only be the tip of the proverbial (melting) iceberg.
