It is admirable to see one of the most well-respected members of the GOP defending the press. Senator John McCain wrote this op-ed in the Washington Post today and it’s directed right at Donald Trump’s war on the media. Here’s one of our favorite passages:
“Journalists play a major role in the promotion and protection of democracy and our unalienable rights, and they must be able to do their jobs freely. Only truth and transparency can guarantee freedom.”
