Let’s just call it what it is. Four GOP members of Congress have formed a white supremacist caucus. The group touts “Anglo-Saxon political traditions.” Meriam Webster writes that one of the definitions for anglo-saxon is “a white gentile of an English-speaking nation.”

Those attaching their names to the group are mostly far-right conservatives who crave attention. Well, this should do it. The first four to sign on are:

  • Marjorie Taylor Green
  • Louie Gohmert
  • Paul Gosar
  • Barry Moore

Also adding his name to the list, Rep. Matt Gaetz. While in the middle of his own scandal, he decided it would be a good time to join another.

The Forbes “hit piece” that Gaetz links to is quoting the seven-page policy platform of the group as published by Punchbowl News.

A lengthy passage on immigration says the U.S. is “a nation with a border, and a culture, strengthened by a common respect for uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions,” which is “threatened when foreign citizens are imported en-masse.”

Some fellow members of Congress on both sides of the aisle are weighing in.
