Mike Bloomberg Suspends Presidential Campaign, Backs Joe Biden

Mike Bloomberg saw the writing on the wall. After a disappointing Super Tuesday, the billionaire announced his campaign for president is ending. Bloomberg saying: “Three months ago, I entered the race for President to defeat Donald Trump. Today, I am leaving the race for the same reason: to defeat Donald Trump – because it is clear to me that staying in would make achieving that goal more difficult.”

The former NYC mayor immediately pledged his support to Joe Biden.

The Wall Street Journal reports:

The former New York City mayor had earned just a few dozen delegates by Wednesday, as they were still being allocated, after spending $215 million on TV and radio ads in the 14 states that voted. The only contest he won was in American Samoa.
